West Seattle Head-On Crash

October 19–  Medics transported a 26-year-old male to Harborview Medical Center after a Good Samaritan pulled him from his burning SUV in West Seattle.

At 8:08 p.m. firefighters responded to Sylvan Way SW and SW Morgan Street for reports of a head-on collision between a red SUV and a car. The SUV was on fire and the driver was unconscious. A Good Samaritan pulled the driver from the SUV before fire crews arrived.  The patient was on the side of the road and regained consciousness when crews arrived.  Firefighters extinguished the SUV fire. The patient was alert, oriented and conscious when medics transported him to Harborview Medical Center.

A male driver of a second black SUV self-extricated. by the time firefighters arrived on scene. AMR transported this patient to Harborview in stable condition.

Seattle Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
