New Requirement for Online Electrical Plan Review Applications

As of April 17, 2017 all electrical plan review applications must now be submitted electronically using the SDCI Project Portal.

  • You can find the Project Portal at https://web6.seattle.gov/dpd/eplan . If you do not have an account, you need to create one. (Under the Help button in the project portal there are many helpful guides for setting up a new account and submitting applications).
  • Log in to your account. Click on Start a Preliminary Application located at the top left side of your portal page. The system will walk you through each step of entering the application information.  Remember to select Electrical for the application type.
  • After you have submitted your application, our staff will complete your preliminary application and notify you.
  • Once you receive the notification, log into your portal account. Your project number should be in the Application in Progress Click on your project number and follow the steps to complete your submittal. Once everything is complete and your documents are uploaded, click on Submit for Intake.

For further assistance or questions regarding the project portal, please call (206) 684-8850 or visit our website at www.seattle.gov/sdci.

Reminder: Online Applications for Construction and Master Use Permits Applications Required April 4

As of April 4, 2016, all master use permit and construction permit applications that require plan review must be submitted for review online using the Seattle DCI Project Portal. The one exception to this is that applications for the “Early Design Guidance” phase of Design Review projects must still be submitted as paper applications, since our portal technology is not yet designed to accommodate these early pre-application plans. Projects that meet the criteria for STFI (Subject-to-Field-Inspection) may still be submitted on paper and in person at the Applicant Services Center.

We will not accept paper applications after April 4. Seattle DCI is making this change to streamline the application process, to increase the efficiency of permit reviews, and to reduce paper.

If you are unable to submit your construction application online, or if you have questions, please contact:

Steve Burns

If you are unable to submit your master use permit application online, or if you have questions, please contact:
