15th Ave NW Northbound Lane Closure at NW 85th St for Concrete work on Saturday, March 3

SDOT is advising travelers that SDOT Crews will be closing the northbound curb lane of 15th Ave NW at NW 85th St (north of the intersection) to replace concrete panels on Saturday March 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What to expect:

  • The Northbound curb lane of NW 15th Ave NW will be closed north of the NW 85th St intersection.
  • The Rapid Ride bust stop adjacent to the Walgreens will be relocated to the north of project adjacent to the Value Village.
  • The crosswalk on the north side of NW 85th Street will be closed. Pedestrians will be directed to cross 15th Ave NW on the south side of NW 85th St.
  • Uniformed police officers will be onsite to direct traffic.

N.W. 95th Street closed between Dibble Avenue N.W. and 7th Avenue N.W. for emergency sewer repair work

SEATTLE— A Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) contractor will begin an emergency sewer repair at the intersection of N.W. 95th Street and 8th Avenue N.W. on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018. N.W. 95th Street will be closed between Dibble Avenue N.W. and 7th Avenue N.W. There will be no access to 8th Avenue N.W. from N.W. 95th Street. Traffic will be detoured around the site. Local access will be maintained.

Traffic will be restricted to one lane on 8th Avenue N.W. A flagger will be on-site to maintain bi-directional traffic. The intersection of 8th Avenue N.W. and N.W. 95th Street will be intermittently closed during working hours to accommodate construction operations. In this situation, traffic will be detoured along surface streets around the site.

Work will begin Monday, Feb. 26, and may take five weeks or more. Street restoration work will be scheduled once the repair work is completed.

Seattle Home Show is at the CenturyLink Field Event Center. Show hours are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. Approximately 60,000 people are expected to attend over course of the show.

February 23 – 26: Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) crews will close the Northbound I-5 off-ramp (exit) to Madison St from 10 p.m. Friday, February 23 to 5 a.m. Monday, February 26. This work is weather dependent.

February 24 – 25:  Seattle City Light will have lane closures at the intersection of Fairview Avenue N and Harrison Street.

  • Saturday, Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. the following traffic restrictions will be in place.
    • The northbound lane of Fairview Avenue N will be detoured at Harrison Street
    • Southbound Fairview Avenue N will be reduced to one lane at Harrison Street
    • Westbound Harrison Street will be detoured at Minor Avenue N
  • Sunday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. the following traffic restrictions will be in place
    • Fairview Avenue N between Republican and Thomas streets will be reduced to one lane in each direction
    • From westbound Harrison Street to Fairview Avenue N the intersection will be right turn only

February 23 – 24: Private construction concrete work will close downtown streets near 3rd Ave and Lenora St and 7th Ave and Blanchard St.

February 24 – 25: WSDOT crews will close the Mercer Street on-ramp to southbound I-5 from 11:59 p.m. Saturday, February 24 to 7 a.m. Sunday February 25 (Saturday overnight to Sunday morning).

February 24 – 25: SDOT will have a weekend closure of 6th Ave between Marion St and Madison St from 8 a.m. on Saturday, February 24 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 25. While 6th Ave will be closed overnight on Saturday, crews plan to work during the day between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Fairview Ave N closures between Mercer St and Republican St on Saturday January 27 through Sunday, January 28

SDOT is advising travelers that all southbound lanes of Fairview Ave N between Mercer St and Republican St will be closed, and northbound Fairview Ave N will be reduced to one lane at the same location on Saturday, January 27 and Sunday, January 28 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for cement panel replacement by private construction contractor crews.

What to expect:
• Both southbound lanes of Fairview Ave N closed between Mercer St and Republican St (the adjacent west side sidewalk will be closed).
• One northbound lane and left turn lane of Fairview Ave N will be closed.
• The I-5 to Mercer St exit off-ramp two left turn lanes to southbound Fairview Ave N will be closed.
• There will be a detour for southbound travelers including those exiting I-5 intending to go southbound on Fairview Ave N.
o Go westbound on Mercer St and take left turn at Westlake Ave N for a southbound travel option.

• Detours are in place and KC Metro buses will be rerouted around closures.
• Uniformed Police officers will be directing traffic during construction.
• The Seattle Boat on South Lake Union will bring added crowds to South Lake Union, so please plan for the detours.
