Officers arrested a 24-year-old burglar Wednesday evening after a woman arrived home and surprised the suspect, who was still in her apartment.
A 27-year-old woman returned to her home in the 3200 block of Eastlake Ave. E Wednesday at 7:15 PM. She opened the front door and found her normally clean home had been ransacked. She walked into the home and found the suspect in her bedroom and armed with a knife. The woman said that she asked for the knife the suspect handed it over. The woman then backed away and called 911.
Officers arrived two minutes later and found the man still in the home. They arrested him and later booked the suspect into King County Jail for investigation of burglary.
