Two teens were arrested Thursday afternoon after the witness from a burglary the day before spotted the suspects at a nearby mini-mart.
On Wednesday, a witness called police after watching three teenagers load up a TV and gun safe from her neighbor’s house into the back of their SUV and take off.
Officers arrived but were unable to locate the burglars. They collected evidence from the scene including fingerprints.
Around 1:00 PM on Thursday, the same witness spotted two of the burglars enter a mini-mart and called police. Officers responded and located two females matching the description given by the witness walking through a parking lot at Rainier Ave S and S Henderson St.
The 15-year-old and 17-year-old females were detained, and after being positively identified, were placed under arrest for burglary and booked into the Youth Services Center.
Detectives are still investigating the case.
