Robbery detectives arrested a man Wednesday afternoon who they had been searching for since January.
Detectives began investigating January 15th when a woman was robbed of her backpack and cellphone in the Ballard neighborhood. The detectives worked with the King County Sherrif’s office and Sammamish Police Department and determined that the same suspect was wanted in connection with as many as nine additional robberies.
Seattle Police officers spotted the suspect in the 11600 block of Des Moines Memorial Drive South just after 12:30 p.m.Wednesday, and took him into custody without incident. Robbery detectives interviewed the suspect and booked him into King County Jail for investigation of robbery as well as theft. Detectives will now work with King County Sherrif’s office as well as the Sammamish Police Department to determine if any additional charges will be filed.
