Work on 7th Ave Mobility Improvements Project begins Jan. 2

SDOT advises travelers of upcoming construction on 7th Ave between Westlake Ave and Union St beginning as soon as Tuesday, January 2, that is expected to last through April 2018. Crews will build a protected bike lane on the west side of 7th Ave and update traffic signals as part of the 7th Ave Mobility Improvements Project. This work is weather dependent.

Crews plan to work on 7th Ave from north to south, with the work area stretching approximately 2 to 3 blocks at a time, beginning from Westlake to Olive Way. There will also be periodic weekend work, beginning at Stewart St and Virginia St from January 5 – 7. See below for details.
