West precinct officers responded to the International District Saturday night and arrested a man after he stabbed another man following a fight.
Officers responded to the 500 block of South Jackson Street Saturday at 11 p.m. for a report of a fight in the area. When officers arrived they found a man suffered a stab wound to the neck that caused a major arterial bleed. Officers immediatly began first aid while Seattle Fire Department medics responded to the scene. Medics arrived and took the man to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of what they descried as life-threatening injuries.
Officers scoured the surrounding area and quickly located a man who matched the suspect description given by witnesses. Officers were able to take the suspect into custody without further incident. Officers booked the suspect into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
