SDOT advises travelers to be aware of the following events happening in the city that may affect traffic. The Mariners play tonight at 7:10 p.m., and have a Wednesday 12:40 p.m. day game (the southbound SR99 exit to S Atlantic St will be closed for approximately one hour following the afternoon Mariners game). The Greenwood Seafair Parade is Wednesday evening. The Seafair Torchlight Parade is Saturday night in downtown Seattle. The Pista sa Nayon Filipino festival is all day Sunday in Seward Park.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 26:
Greenwood Seafair Parade from 6 p.m. to 8:30 pm on Greenwood Ave N and N 85th St.
Neil Diamond Concert at 8 p.m. at KeyArena. About 8,000 people are expected to attend.
THURSDAY, JULY 27:
Tournament of Nations: Women’s soccer tournament at CenturyLink Field. Brazil vs. Japan at 4:15 p.m., followed by USA vs. Australia at 7 p.m. About 20,000 people are expected to attend.
SATURDAY, JULY 29:
Seafair Torchlight Run: 5K and 8K runs start at 6 p.m. prior to the Torchlight Parade. The run will close 4th Ave between Denny Way and Wall St beginning at 4 p.m. About 15,000 people are expected to participate.
Seafair Torchlight Parade: Annual parade through downtown starts at 7:30 p.m. The parade goes down 4th Ave from Seattle Center to Pioneer Square. About 26,000 people are expected to attend.
SUNDAY, JULY 30:
Pista sa Nayon: Filipino American community festival at Seward Park from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Tuesday, July 25, Seattle Mariners vs. Boston Red Sox at 7:10 p.m. About 31,000 people are expected to attend.
Wednesday, July 26, Seattle Mariners vs. Boston Red Sox at 12:40 p.m. About 42,000 people are expected to attend. SPD will close the southbound SR-99 exit to S Atlantic St for approximately one hour between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. following the Mariners game.
Friday, July 28, Seattle Mariners vs. New York Mets at 7:10 p.m. About 40,000 people are expected to attend.
Saturday, July 29, Seattle Mariners vs. New York Mets at 1:10 p.m. About 41,000 people are expected to attend.
Sunday, July 30, Seattle Mariners vs. New York Mets at 1:10 p.m. About 37,000 people are expected to attend.
