Events Traffic Advisory for Tuesday, June 6 – Sunday, June 11

SDOT advises travelers to be aware of the following events happening in the city that may affect traffic. The Seattle Mariners play Tuesday through Sunday at Safeco Field. The New Kids On The Block concert is Wednesday night at KeyArena. There are collegiate commencements for SPU and UW on Saturday, and SU on Sunday. There are also two separate demonstrations over the weekend.

Tuesday, June 6, Mariners vs. Minnesota Twins at 7:10 p.m. About 18,000 people are expected to attend.

Wednesday, June 7, Mariners vs. Minnesota Twins at 7:10 p.m. About 18,000 people are expected to attend.

Thursday, June 8, Mariners vs. Minnesota Twins at 7:10 p.m. About 20,000 people are expected to attend.

Friday, June 9, Mariners vs. Toronto Blue Jays at 7:10 p.m. About 45,000 people are expected to attend.

Saturday, June 10, Mariners vs. Toronto Blue Jays at 7:10 p.m. About 45,000 people are expected to attend.

Sunday, June 11, Mariners vs. Toronto Blue Jays at 1:10 p.m. About 44,000 people are expected to attend.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7:

The Total Package Tour: NKOTB with Boys II Men and Paula Abdul at KeyArena at 7:30 p.m. About 9,000 people are expected to attend.

SATURDAY, JUNE 10:

Capitol Hill Pride March and Rally: March from Seattle Central College plaza to E Harrison St on Broadway E starting at 10 a.m. About 5,000 people are expected to attend.

Volunteer Park Pride Festival: Festival in Volunteer Park from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. About 2,500 people are expected to attend.

Seattle March Against Sharia: Rally at City Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. About 300 people are expected to attend.

Georgetown Carnival: From 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Airport Way S will be closed between Corson Ave S and 13th Ave S from 6 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. About 5,000 people are expected to attend.

Seattle Pacific University Commencement at KeyArena at 1 p.m. Doors open at 11:45 a.m. About 10,000 people are expected to attend.

University of Washington Commencement at Husky Stadium from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Stadium doors open at 12:30 p.m. About 45,000 people are expected to attend.

SUNDAY, JUNE 11:

Shore Run: Annual run along the western shore of Lake Washington to benefit Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. 5K run starts at 8:15 a.m. 10K run starts at 9 a.m. About 1,900 people are expected to participate.

Seattle University Commencement at KeyArena. Undergraduate ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. Graduate ceremony begins at 3 p.m. About 11,000 people are expected to attend.

Taco Time Volunteer Park Criterium: Bike racing event in Volunteer Park from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. About 250 people are expected to attend.

Seattle Pride March from Cal Anderson Park to Seattle Center via Pine St and 4th Ave. March begins at 12 p.m. About 7,000 people are expected to attend.

The Equality March for Unity & Pride: March starts at 3:30 p.m. from E Pike St and Broadway, heads north on 12th Ave, west on E Aloha St, south on Broadway E to E Harrison St. About 5,000 people are expected to attend.
