Events Traffic Advisory for Tuesday, April 25 – Monday, May 1

SDOT advises travelers to be aware of the following events happening in the city that may affect traffic. The Weekend will be in concert Wednesday night at KeyArena. The Seattle Sounders play at CenturyLink Field on Saturday night. On Monday, May 1, there are demonstrations and rallies that are expected to significantly impact traffic around the city.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26:

Bastille concert at WaMu Theater. Doors open at 7 p.m. About 7,200 people are expected to attend.

The Weekend concert at KeyArena. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. About 12,500 people are expected to attend.

THURSDAY, APRIL 27:

NFFTY 2017 Opening Night: Gala for National Film Festival for Talented Youth at the Cinerama Theater. Doors open at 6 p.m. About 700 people are expected to attend.

FRIDAY, APRIL 28:

Cornish College of the Arts BFA Expo 2017: Arts exhibition event will close Terry Ave between Lenora St and Virginia St from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. About 1,000 people are expected to attend.

SATURDAY, APRIL 29:

People’s Climate March : March from Occidental Park to Westlake Park via 4th Ave starts at 10 a.m. About 2,000 people are expected to participate.

Cruise Ship Season: The 2017 cruise ship season begins with increased traffic at Bell St Pier 66 and Smith Cove Pier 91.

Greenlake Food Walk: Festival will close NE 72nd St between E Green Lake Dr N and Woodlawn Ave NE between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. About 900 are expected to attend.

Match for Africa: Tennis charity match at KeyArena featuring Rodger Federer vs. John Isner in support of children’s education in Africa. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. About 14,000 people are expected to attend.

Seattle Sounders vs. New England at CenturyLink Field at 7 p.m. About 40,000 people are expected to attend.

SUNDAY, APRIL 30:

Top Pot Doughnut Dash: 5K run at Green Lake Park starts at 8:30 a.m. W Green Lake Drive N and E Green Lake Drive N will have one lane closed between 8:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. About 2,225 people are expected to attend.

The 1975 concert at WaMu Theater. Doors open at 7 p.m. About 7,200 people are expected to attend.

MONDAY, MAY 1:

May Day: Veteran Anti-War Formation: March at 8:45 a.m. from the Garden of Remembrance at 2nd Ave and University. The march route is south on 2nd Ave, east on James St, east on E Cherry St, south on 23rd Avenue to Judkins Park. About 200 people are expected to attend.

Annual May Day March for Workers and Immigrant Rights: Rally at Judkins Park at 11 a.m. followed by a march from Judkins Park to Seattle Center at 1 p.m. The march route is via S Jackson St, 12th Ave, Madison St, 6th Ave, Denny Way, 5th Ave N to Seattle center. About 8,000 people are expected to participate.
