Events Traffic Advisory for Tuesday, March 14 – Sunday, March 19

SDOT advises travelers to be aware of the following events happening around the city that may affect area traffic. The Red Hot Chili Peppers play Friday night at KeyArena. The Northwest Women’s Show runs Saturday and Sunday at CenturyLink Field Event Center. The Seattle Sounders play Sunday afternoon at CenturyLink Field.

TUESDAY, MARCH 14:

KeyArena private event: Bus staging on streets surrounding Seattle Center and in South Lake Union from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. About 3,000 people are expected to attend.

THURSDAY, MARCH 16 & FRIDAY, MARCH 17:

5th Avenue Theatre Student Matinee:  Student performance of The Pajama Game from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. About 1,800 people are expected to attend each performance.

FRIDAY, MARCH 17:

Seattle Symphony Friday Matinee: Symphony performance at Benaroya Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  About 200 people are expected to attend.

Red Hot Chili Peppers concert: At KeyArena at 8 p.m. About 12,000 people are expected to attend.

FRIDAY, MARCH 17 – SUNDAY, MARCH 19:

Kells Irish Festival: The 34th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival at Kells will close Post Alley between Stewart and Virginia streets from 9 a.m. on March 17 to 2 a.m. on March 19. About 400 people are expected to attend each day.

SATURDAY, MARCH 18 – SUNDAY MARCH 19:

Northwest Women’s Show: At CenturyLink Field Event Center. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. About 8,000 people are expected to attend each day.

SUNDAY, MARCH 19:

Seattle Sounders vs. New York Red Bulls at CenturyLink Field at 4 p.m. About 40,000 people are expected to attend.
