Officers arrested a man Saturday morning in after a homeowner spotted him trying to break into her Beacon Hill home.
A 29-year-old woman called 911 at 10:20 Saturday morning and reported a man was rummaging through her shed in the 4900 block of 15 Ave. South. As the woman was on the phone with police, she said she could hear someone attempting to open the backdoor of her home.
Officers arrived and spotted the man in the backyard and called out to him. The suspect immediately ran from police and jumped over a nearby fence only to be met by another officer, who took the suspect into custody. During the arrest, the officer noticed what appeared to be two handguns tucked in the suspect’s waistband. Officers inspected the guns and determined they were pellet guns and entered them into evidence.
