Events Traffic Advisory for Tuesday, Dec. 27 – Sunday, Jan. 1

SDOT advises travelers to be aware of the following events happening around the city that will affect area traffic. The annual New Year’s at the Needle fireworks show happens Saturday night, please plan ahead for delays in and around the South Lake Union area.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 27 – WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 28:

Pacific Northwest Ballet presents The Nutcracker at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at McCaw Hall. About 2,900 people are expected to attend each performance.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 31:

Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concerts at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. at KeyArena.

Resolution 2017 Countdown to New Year’s Eve, 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. at WaMu Theater.

New Year’s Eve at the Needle – Annual fireworks show at the Space Needle. Event will close Broad St between Denny Way and 5th Ave N from 11:30 p.m. to approximately 12:30 a.m.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 1:

Club Northwest Resolution Run 5K at Magnuson Park. There is also the Polar Bear Dive into Lake Washington prior to the event finish line. Run/walk from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
