UW vs. Stanford Football game at Husky Stadium Friday, September 30 at 6 p.m.

SDOT advises travelers that the University of Washington football game on Friday night is expected to have significant traffic impacts so people should plan ahead and expect delays travelling in and around the city. The game is expected to be a sellout with nearly 70,000 people expected to attend.

For fans attending the game, here are some transportation options:

Uber’s new pick up and drop off zone at Husky Stadium: The City of Seattle has a partnership with Uber to redeem 50% off trips to or from Friday’s game using the promo code: HOMESAFEUW. Discount valid from 3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 30 until 3 a.m. Saturday, October 1.

King County Metro: See which bus routes will be rerouted on game day.

Sound Transit Link Light Rail to Husky Stadium: Ride congestion-free from Angle Lake all the way to Husky Stadium.

Sounder Train Service: Sounder trains travel between Lakewood and Seattle (with stops in Tacoma, Puyallup, Sumner, Auburn, Kent and Tukwila) and between Everett and Seattle (with stops in Mukilteo and Edmonds).

UW Game Day Shuttle: Regular Park & Ride and regular metro bus transit routes used by Husky fans are not available during Friday commute time, so regular Park & Ride bus service will be replaced with a UW Football Shuttle that will serve locations around King County.

In addition, the first day of classes at UW is Wednesday, September 28, so the campus will be full. Game time is also during the Friday afternoon rush hour commute.
