Media Advisory: Assistant Chief Reaches Fifty Years of Service

SEATTLE – The Seattle Fire Department will mark a special occasion with recognition of the longest-serving firefighter currently in the Department. Assistant Chief A.D. Vickery entered the Department in 1966. During his 50 years of service, Assistant Chief A. D. Vickery worked at various stations across the city in multiple roles to include, Paramedic, Firefighter, Fire Officer, Battalion Chief, Deputy Chief, and his current position of Assistant Chief of Resource Management.

The brief ceremony will include the Seattle Fire Department Pipes and Drums band, remarks by Assistant Chief Jay Hagen and a plaque presentation by Fire Chief Harold Scoggins.
