New RapidRide Bus Shelter to be Installed on Westlake Ave N

SDOT advises travelers that crews will be installing a new RapidRide bus shelter on the northbound side of Westlake Ave N just south of Harrison St next week. This bus stop shelter serves the RapidRide C Line service extension to South Lake Union and added service on Route 40 from Ballard and Fremont.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 11 through Wednesday, July 13, travelers can expect:

  • One curbside northbound lane of Westlake Ave N at Harrison St to be closed during this work.
  • All lanes of Westlake Ave N to be open during morning and afternoon peak travel times.
  • The sidewalk to remain open except when a crane must be used to install the shelter and glass panels for short periods of time.

SDOT would like to thank the public for its patience while this work is completed.

This work is part of the South Lake Union Transit Improvements project which included dedicated transit lanes, transit stop upgrades and wider sidewalks. For more information, please visit: http://www.seattle.gov/transportation/transitSLU.htm.
