Join us for FREE weekly lunchtime and evening outdoor summer fitness sessions. They begin next week at Seattle Center. Open to all ages and abilities, the classes provide easy-to-follow workouts that afford participants a fun time-out from their regular routine to stretch, strengthen and de-stress.
Summer Fitness – Zumba® Class, 6 pm-7 pm, Tuesdays June 21-Aug. 23, Next 50 Plaza, takes participants around the world through Latin music, World Rhythms, West African, belly dance, pop, classic rock and more for an entertaining, high energy workout. No dance experience is required. Participants are encouraged to bring plenty of water and wear comfortable sneakers.
Summer Fitness – Gentle Yoga, 11:30 am-12:30 pm, Wednesdays, June 22-Aug. 24, Exhibition Hall Lawn, offers something for everyone, from stretching your body to breathing your stress away. The classes focus on fluid movements to increase range of motion and joint and muscle flexibility. Beginners learn the basics of Hatha Yoga, and all will enjoy a strengthening workout. Wear comfortable clothing and bring along a yoga mat.
Evening Yoga, 6 pm-7 pm, Wednesdays, June 22-Aug. 24, Exhibition Hall Lawn, brings Core Power Yoga to Seattle Center for a high intensity workout, where class participants push past physical boundaries with an open mind and a beating heart, turning doubt into security, strangers into friends and stress into sweat. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.
Seattle Center Summer Fitness makes use of the warmer, sunnier time of year to offer free, fun outdoor fitness opportunities for neighbors, visitors, and downtown/uptown/South Lake Union workers and residents who welcome a break from the usual to do something good for their bodies.
