SDOT is advising travelers to be aware of the following events happening around the city through the weekend that will affect area traffic. Hillary Clinton will visit the Seattle area for a campaign visit on Tuesday. There is a National Geographic daytime lecture for students at Benaroya Hall on Tuesday. The Starbucks shareholders meeting is Wednesday at McCaw Hall. Sakura-Con begins Friday running through the weekend at the Washington State Convention Center downtown.
TUESDAY, MARCH 22nd:
Hillary Clinton Campaign Visit: Hillary Clinton will attend political campaign events in the Seattle area.
National Geographic Live! Student Matinee: Buses for student attendees will be staging on 2nd Avenue between Seneca and Union streets and on Union, University and Seneca streets between 1st and 3rd avenues for an educational presentation at Benaroya Hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. About 1,400 students are expected to attend.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23rd:
Starbucks Annual Shareholders Meeting: The meeting runs from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at McCaw Hall at the Seattle Center. Doors open at 8 a.m. and about 3,000 people are expected to attend.
FRIDAY, MARCH 25th – SUNDAY, MARCH 27th:
Sakura-Con: The anime convention is at the Washington State Convention Center through the weekend. About 20,000 people are expected to attend each day.
