SDOT is advising travelers to be aware of the following events happening around the city through the weekend that will affect area traffic. The Seattle Home Show continues through the weekend at the CenturyLink Events Center. There is a National Geographic daytime lecture for students at Benaroya Hall on Tuesday. Seattle Sounders FC is playing on Tuesday night at CenturyLink Field.
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 22nd – SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28th:
Seattle Home Show: The home show continues at CenturyLink Field Event Center with hundreds of exhibiters. Hours are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. About 20,000 people are expected to attend throughout the week.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd:
National Geographic Live! Student Matinee: Buses for student attendees will be staging on 2nd Avenue between Seneca and Union streets and on Union, University and Seneca streets between 1st and 3rd avenues for an educational presentation at Benaroya Hall from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. About 2,000 students are expected to attend.
SOUNDERS AT CENTURYLINK FIELD:
Sounders vs. Club America match is Tuesday, Feb. 23rd at 7 p.m. About 40,000 people are expected to attend.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 25th:
Seattle Symphony Open Rehearsal: Buses for student attendees will be staging on 2nd Avenue between Seneca and Union streets and on Union, University and Seneca streets between 1st and 3rd avenues for an open rehearsal at Benaroya Hall from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. About 1,300 students are expected to attend.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 27th:
March for Bernie: A political rally for Bernie Sanders starts at Occidental Square at 4 p.m. followed by a march to Westlake Park. The march leaves Occidental Square at 5 p.m. on S Main St, travel north on 1st Ave S, east on Cherry St and north on 4th Ave to Westlake Park. About 800 people are expected to participate.
