New Seattle Fire Public Information Officer

The Seattle Fire Department would like to announce Corey Orvold as the new Public Information Officer. Corey is a graduate of Washington State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications emphasis in Broadcasting. Corey has over 10 years’ experience in the media, starting her career with an internship at KYCW and KNDD. She has also previously worked in Palm Springs and Las Vegas, where she was a general news reporter for KXNT Radio as well as on-air talent for music radio stations. She has appeared on the Nancy Grace Show where she served as a correspondent for the Las Vegas market. Corey is a member of the Junior League of Seattle as well as recently was a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for King County. Her office number is 206-386-1679. Corey started with Seattle Fire in December and has been learning about the fire service and the Department. Lieutenant Sue Stangl, who has been training Corey, will be returning to her firefighter duties at Fire Station 10 in the Pioneer Square area.
