SDOT advising travelers to be aware of the upcoming Seattle Seahawks Monday Night Football game at 5:30 p.m. at CenturyLink Field on Monday October 5, 2015.
SDOT encourages everyone attending the game to plan ahead and arrive at the venue early. SDOT also encourages those entering and leaving the downtown/SODO area as a part of their routine afternoon commute to plan ahead, because a sellout crowd of about 67,000 people will be headed into the stadium area.
The interstates are expected to be filled with fans headed to CenturyLink, in addition to those commuting in and out of the city. Please consider travel and schedule alternatives as the interstates and city streets will be significantly impacted before and after the game.
Routine sports event street closures and traffic control will be in place prior to the game in SODO. Occidental Avenue South will be closed from South King Street to South Royal Brougham Way at around 1:30 p.m. South Jackson Street from 1st Avenue South to 2nd Avenue Extension South will have Seattle Police traffic control in place around 2:30 p.m. for CenturyLink parking access.
