Restoration of 10th Avenue E. and E. John Street continues

Sound Transit

Crews will continue demolishing the red wall along the perimeter of the work area. Beginning Friday, July 10, temporary fencing will be installed along the west side of 10th Ave. E. as crews work north from E. Denny Way toward E. John St. to demolish the red wall. This work will last approximately two weeks. Work hours are weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Several trailers on-site must be removed to make room for the demolition. The City of Seattle has approved temporary noise variances for their removal on Saturday July 11 and Saturday July 18 from 6 a.m. to 6 pm.

What to expect:

  • On-street parking will be restricted on 10th Ave. E. between E. Denny Way and E. John St. during this work.
  • Sidewalk closures on the west side of 10th Ave. E and the south side of E. John St.
  • Intermittent daytime noise as crews demolish the plywood wall and excavate the concrete footing.
  • Access to homes and driveways will be maintained.
