Mercer Corridor traffic advisory for the 4th of July weekend

The Seattle Department of Transportation wishes everyone a safe and happy 4th of July weekend. There are no additional traffic closures associated with the Mercer Corridor Project for the 4th of July weekend, Friday, July 3 to Monday, July 6. Please keep the following in mind as you travel through the Mercer Corridor:

  • Mercer Street will continue to operate with three eastbound lanes and two westbound lanes between Ninth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North.
  • The southwest corner of the intersection at Fifth Avenue North and Thomas Street will continue to be closed. Please see our website for more information on current conditions at this intersection.
  • The north and south sidewalks along Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Ninth Avenue North will be open.

Please drive carefully and be mindful of increased pedestrian traffic associated with the holiday weekend.
