Events Traffic Advisory for Wednesday, June 10 – Sunday, June 14

SDOT is advising travelers to be aware of events happening around the city through the weekend that will add to area traffic. The Seafair Festival kickoff is on Wednesday at Westlake Park. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon is Saturday. The University of Washington and Seattle Pacific University commencements are on Saturday, Congratulations to those and all graduates!  The Seattle Pride Picnic at Volunteer Park is on Saturday. Seattle Sounders FC plays FC Dallas Saturday at Centurylink Field.


Seafair Festival Kickoff: In Westlake Park from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. About 1,000 people are expected to attend.


Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Expo: The two day exhibition and runner registration is at CenturyLink Field Event Center on Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12, from 12 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.


Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Marathon, Half Marathon & 8K: All races start at Seattle Center with street closures from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Here are the road closures and route link. 4th Avenue N from Republican to Mercer Street and Republican St from 4th to 5thavenues N are closed Thursday, June 11 from 4 a.m. through Saturday, June 13, 9 p.m.  About 26,000 people are expected to attend.

Georgetown Carnival: Arts, Crafts and Vendors on Airport Way S from S Carsten Place to 13thAvenue S from 10 a.m. to 10 pm. About 10,500 people are expected to attend. Follow this link for more

University of Washington Commencement: The 140th annual ceremony is at Husky Stadium from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. About 40,000 people are expected to attend.

Seattle Pacific University Commencement: The graduation event is at KeyArena from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  About 10,000 people are expected to attend.

Seattle Pride Picnic:  Celebration with entertainment, vendors and music from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Volunteer Park.  About 2,040 people are expected to attend.

Art on the Fly:  Celebration of Dance and Arts Street fair at the South Lake Union Discovery Center from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.  John Street closed from 9thAvenue N to Westlake Avenue N.  About 1,050 people are expected to attend.


Seattle Sounders FC plays FC Dallas on Saturday, June 13, at 7 p.m. About 35,000 people are expected to attend.
