The Seattle Department of Transportation is preparing to replace part of the sidewalk on the west side of Roosevelt between Northeast 80th and Northeast 79th streets. The portion to be replaced is between 80th and a point approximately mid-block between 80th and 79th. SDOT crews will also replace a curb ramp. This work is scheduled for May 18 to May 29, from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day.
The sidewalk on the west side of Roosevelt will be closed to pedestrians from Northeast 80th to Northeast 79th Street.
At Northeast 80th and Roosevelt, the crosswalks on the west and south sides of the intersection will be closed. Pedestrians southbound on Roosevelt at Northeast 80th will be able to cross Roosevelt on the north side of the intersection and use the sidewalk on the east side of Roosevelt.
Pedestrians walking north on the west side of Roosevelt to Northeast 79th Street will be directed westward on Northeast 79th Street, then north on Eighth Avenue Northeast, and east on 80th to return to Roosevelt.
