Roadway restoration of 10th Ave E to start as early as April 20

Starting as early as Monday, April 20, Sound Transit’s contractor will begin work on 10th Avenue E. between E. Denny Way and E. John Street to restore the roadway.

This work will require sawing the pavement, jack hammering, excavation and paving equipment. The project will take approximately two to three weeks to complete.

Work hours are from 7 a.m. through weekdays and 9 a.m. through 6 p.m. on Saturdays.

During this work, 10th Avenue E., between E. Denny Way and E. John Street, will be closed to through traffic. Local vehicle and pedestrian access will be allowed.

On-street parking will be restricted along 10th Avenue E. between E. Denny Way and E. John Street. during this work.

What to expect:

  • Access to homes and driveways will be maintained. Flaggers will direct residents around the work area.
  • Intermittent daytime noise from saws and jackhammers as crews break up concrete and repave the area.
