SDOT is advising travelers of lane closures in the University District for street and sidewalk restoration work from April 7 through April 17.
- SDOT will be closing the northbound lane of University Way NE between NE 40th and NE Pacific streets from 9 a.m. on April 7 through April 9 for concrete panel restorations. The closure should last 3 days from start to finish.
- The southbound lane of Brooklyn Avenue NE will be closed at NE 40th to Pacific Street on April 7 at 12 p.m. to April 10 for concrete street panel restorations. We will detour all traffic to either University Way NE or to 15th Avenue NE so traffic can get to NE Pacific Street.
- Once the Brooklyn Avenue southbound work is completed, concrete street panel work will begin on the northbound lane of Brooklyn Avenue NE from April 14 through April 17. These closures are for 24 hours each day until we can reopen after paving.
After the concrete street panel restorations have been completed on Brooklyn Avenue NE, there will be some day time lane closures along Brooklyn Avenue NE from NE 40th to Pacific streets for sidewalk restoration. SDOT thanks the community for its patience while this work is being completed.
