Update Released on Seattle’s Climate Action Work

In 2013, the Seattle adopted the Seattle Climate Action Plan, with a goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. City staff have been busy since them moving forward on many of the initiatives and programs called for in the Plan. OSE recently released the 2014 CAP Highlights Report which showcases some of the key programs and initiatives that are  moving Seattle along the path of Carbon Neutrality.

Additionally, OSE released a comprehensive status update on all of the “quick start” actions called out in the Seattle Climate Action Plan. These “quick start” actions are short term actions to pilot new ideas, test new approaches and lay the foundations for longer-term action. As these two reports demonstrate, Seattle contiunes to take a “multi-pronged” approach to addressing climate change.
