SDOT Events Traffic Advisory for Wednesday, Feb. 11 – Sunday, Feb. 16

SDOT is alerting travelers to be aware of events happening around the city through the weekend and beyond. The Northwest Flower and Garden Show at the Washington State Convention Center opens Wednesday and goes through Sunday and will add to downtown traffic. The Seattle Home Show runs Saturday through Sunday Feb. 22, at the CenturyLink Field Events Center. There is a 5K Run at Green Lake on Saturday, and the Harlem Globetrotters appear at KeyArena on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Green Lake:

Love ‘em or Leave ‘em Valentine’s Day Dash 5K is Saturday.  There are about 2,000 people expected at the run which travels clockwise around Green Lake. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the race starts at 9:30 a.m. with the staging area at W Green Lake Way N between E Green Lake Way N and N 63rd Street near the Aqua Theater. Street closures begin at 8:30 a.m. The race starts adjacent to the Aqua Theater and travels west on W Green Lake Way N to Aurora Avenue N and onto the Green Lake trail; then off the trail and onto W Green Lake Drive N; then east on W Green Lake Drive N to E Green Lake Drive N; east to E Green Lake Way N; south on E Green Lake Way N to approximately Kenwood Place N; west onto Green Lake trail and finishes at the Aqua Theater.  More info:

NW Flower and Garden Show runs Wednesday Feb. 11 through Sunday, Feb. 15. Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

CenturyLink Field Events Center:

Seattle Home Show runs Saturday Feb. 14 through Feb. 22. Hours are Monday through Friday 12 p.m. to 6p.m.

and Saturdays and Sundays 10 p.m. to 6 p.m.


The Harlem Globetrotters appear Sunday, Feb.15 and about 5,000 people are expected to attend. The show runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Here is their link:
