Mercer Corridor Project: Nighttime lane restriction on eastbound Mercer Street

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is advising travelers of a nighttime lane closure of the right eastbound lane of Mercer Street (southernmost) between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North. This lane restriction will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the nights of Wednesday, Dec. 17 and Thursday, Dec. 18, for paving and drainage work. The two remaining eastbound lanes on Mercer Street will remain open at all times.

Travelers can expect the following impacts:

  • The right eastbound lane on Mercer Street (southernmost) will be closed between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North.
  • The two remaining eastbound lanes on Mercer Street will remain open at all times.
  • Please plan ahead and expect traffic delays.

As a reminder, crews will also be closing one lane on westbound Mercer Street and one lane on southbound Dexter Avenue N, from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m., Monday through Thursday for the next week.

Reminder—Full daytime closure of Taylor Avenue N between Mercer and Roy streets this week

As a reminder, Taylor Avenue N will be fully closed between Mercer and Roy streets, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, beginning Monday, Dec. 15 and continuing through Friday, Dec. 19 to accommodate concrete pours. Local access to businesses on Taylor Avenue N between Mercer and Roy streets will be maintained from Roy Street.
