Auto show, walk, dash, and rock!

Do you like green cars? This is your weekend to check out the latest in green car technology at the Seattle Auto Show. If on the other hand you like to walk or run, there are two great events for you this weekend—you can walk to fight breast cancer or you can run the Dawg Dash.  Maybe you like to rock? Then lucky you, if you have tickets to the  concert at the Key Arena to enjoy the world-famous band, Phish! There are no home games in the SODO stadiums this weekend, but you may want to consider traffic generated by the events listed below when you plan your trips.

There will be several closures this weekend for construction. The SR520 Bridge will be closed in both directions; SR99/ Aurora Avenue North  will be closed in both directions between the Battery Street Tunnel and Valley Street; and the  SR99/ Alaskan Way Viaduct will be closed in both directions for its semi-annual bridge inspection.

For more fun and less stress this weekend, avoid driving in traffic and walk, bike or ride (public transit). You can sign up for Metro Transit email alerts to be notified when there is a change in service, usually due to a special event or construction. http://metro.kingcounty.gov/signup/
