The Office of Professional Accountability has moved from the Seattle Police Department’s headquarters to new office space on the 18th floor of the Pacific Building, at 720 3rd Avenue.
OPA investigates complaints of police misconduct made by members of the community and complaints made internally by members of the Seattle Police Department. It’s hoped the move to new, separate office space will foster public trust and strengthen community relations. In addition, the new office location will increase community access. Seven bus routes stop right outside the entrance to the new office building at 3rd Avenue and Columbia Street. The office is also easily accessible by the light rail at Pioneer Square.
