Construction impacts the week of Oct. 13 -Westbound lane restrictions on Mercer Street Oct. 13-14

The Seattle Department of Transportation advises travelers of the following activities within the Mercer Corridor Project Area:

Westbound lane restriction on Mercer Street Oct. 13-14

Westbound Mercer Street will be restricted to one lane between Ninth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North from Monday, Oct. 13 at 9 a.m. to Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 9 a.m. for paving work. One lane will remain open at all times.

Nighttime lane restrictions on Mercer Street through Oct. 17

One eastbound lane and one westbound lane on Mercer Street will be closed between Fifth Avenue North and Ninth Avenue North from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, from the evening of Oct. 13 to the morning of Oct. 17 for utility work. Travelers can expect the following impacts. At least one lane in each direction will remain open.

Northbound lane restriction on Dexter Avenue N between Roy and Republican streets Oct. 13-17

Northbound Dexter Avenue North will be restricted to one lane between Roy and Republican streets from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, from the evening of Monday, Oct. 13 to the morning of Friday, Oct. 17. This closure will accommodate critical utility work. Bicyclists will merge with vehicular traffic.

Southbound lane restriction on Dexter Avenue N between Roy and Mercer streets Oct. 17-18

Southbound Dexter Avenue North will be restricted to one lane in the block between Roy and Mercer streets from 8 p.m. on Oct. 17 to 8 a.m. on Oct. 18 for critical utility work. One lane only will remain open. Bicyclists will merge with vehicular traffic.

Full closures of Fourth Avenue N and Republican Street between Fifth Avenue N and Mercer Street Oct. 14-24

Both Fourth Avenue North and Republican Street will be fully closed between Fifth Avenue North and Mercer Street from Tuesday, Oct. 14 to Oct. 24 as crews make street and sidewalk improvements.

Sidewalks will be closed on the west side of Fourth Avenue North and the south side of Republican Street. Drivers accessing the Memorial Stadium parking lot should use the Harrison Street entrance and exit only.

Daytime lane restrictions on Ninth Avenue N between Mercer and Republican streets Oct. 14-16

Ninth Avenue North will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Mercer and Republican streets from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily for approximately three days beginning Oct. 14 for signal pole repairs. Police officers will be stationed at Mercer Street to help facilitate traffic flow.
