Lane restrictions on Mercer Street, September 26 – October 3

Work will take place along Alaskan Way between Pike and Madison streets.

The Seattle Department of Transportation advises travelers of nighttime lane restrictions on Mercer Street:

Single lane restrictions on Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Ninth Avenue North will be in effect weeknights, from Sept. 26 to Oct. 3 for utility work. The following impacts can be expected:

  • The eastbound right lane of Mercer Street will be closed between Fifth Avenue North and Ninth Avenue North from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Thursday, Sept. 26 through Friday morning, Oct. 3.
  • On the evening of Friday, Sept. 26, eastbound and westbound Mercer Street between Fifth Avenue North and Dexter Avenue North will be restricted to one lane in each direction from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Traffic officers will be on-site to help direct traffic.
  • As a reminder, one eastbound lane on Mercer Street will remain closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 27.
  • One lane in each direction on Mercer Street will remain open at all times.
