Weekend traffic: Huskies, Mariners, Sounders, and more

There are plenty of events this weekend to consider when planning your travel routes around the city. This is especially on Saturday when you will likely be sharing the road with travelers headed to one of four major events: the Seattle Aids Walk on Capitol Hill, the Sounders playing at Century Link Field, the Huskies Football game, the Mariners game at Safeco Field, or Elton John’s concert at Key Arena.

Why worry about traffic when there are so many different ways to get there? If you are going to one of these events, the websites for each location suggests a variety of ways, including Sounder Train, Sound Transit Express Bus, Light Ling Rail, King County Metro Transit, bike, and walking. The Key Arena website also lists the Monorail. The Husky Stadium site includes arriving by boat! See the links to each event website, below, for alternate ways to get there.

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, consider leaving your car at home, enjoy yourself and have fun.  Below is a list of events that my impact your travel this weekend.
