Seattle Parks to host community ice cream social in Cal Anderson Park on Sept. 27

Do you love Cal Anderson Park? Have you wondered how you can help maintain the park or support events like the Independence Day Community Picnic or Hilloween?

Stop by the Volunteer Ice Cream Social from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27 to find out how you can become a Seattle Parks and Recreation volunteer. The event will take place in the Cal Anderson Park Shelterhouse.

If you cannot make it to the event but would still like to volunteer, please visit www.seattle.gov/parks/volunteers and click on “Online Green Space Application.” Under “Assignment Preference” choose the Cal Anderson Park option or type Cal Anderson Park in the box provided.

The Volunteer Ice Cream Social Event is free to the community. Cal Anderson Park is located at 1635 11th Ave. in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
