A Rainier View home was riddled with bullets early Monday after three men opened fire.
No one in the home, occupied by five adults and several children, was injured in the shooting, which happened around 1:50 a.m. in the 5300 block of South Hazel Street.
A woman at the home said she was having a party at the house with friends when one person became angry and called a boyfriend to pick her up. The boyfriend arrived, talked to the woman, then he and two friends began shooting at the home.
Officers found 23 shell casings in the driveway and multiple bullet holes outside and inside the home after they arrived. The shooters had fled the scene. However, one of the suspected shooters ended up at Harbor View Medical Center, where he’s being treated for a gunshot wound. It’s not clear how he became wounded. Renton Police arrested a second suspect in the shooting.
