Officers are searching for a man who flipped his car and left a woman injured inside while he ran from police Wednesday afternoon.
South Precinct officers are on the hunt for a man after King County deputies saw him roll his car over at 44 Avenue South and South Cloverdale just before 4 p.m. today. As deputies approached the vehicle the driver fled from the totaled Cadillac and took off running. The deputies tended to the injured female passenger who was stuck in the car.
Responding officers spotted the suspect – a 20-year-old black male wearing a white shirt and jeans – as he ran away in the 4700 block of Renton Avenue South. The officers lost sight of the suspect as he ran through the neighborhood.
Witnesses began calling 911, telling them that they had spotted a man covered in blood going door to door in the 4800 block of South Rose.
Officers continue to search the surrounding area and are asking anyone who spots the suspect to call 911 and speak with officers.
