Detectives are investigating after a man and woman were shot Tuesday evening at South Cambridge St. And 38 Ave. South.
Officers arrived at the scene shortly after receiving reports of gunfire around 7 pm, but were unable to find any victims. Witnesses informed investigators that two victims had left the scene and headed to Harborview Medical Center.
Witnesses said that before the shooting the two victims had argued with a man, who had opened fire, striking both victims.
One victim suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest, while the other sustained a non-life-threatening gun shot wound to the buttocks.
Witnesses described the gunman as a 6 foot tall black male wearing a black jacket with white lettering on the back. He may have fled the scene in a tan sedan.
