Two Boats Collide on Lake Washington

Two boats collided on Lake Washington sending a woman to the hospital with minor injuries Tuesday evening.

Seattle Police Harbor units responded to North Seattle when they received a call of two boats colliding north of the 520 floating bridge. When they arrived they found two small power boats that sustained a glancing blow when the two passed by each other. Both boats were able to return to the Magnuson docks.

A 50-year-old woman was transported to Harborview Medical Center for minor injuries to her ribs and back.

Harbor Patrol Officers are investigating and believe the collision may be due to the sun reflecting off the water and choppy conditions. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this collision.
