Officers weren’t able to convince a bloodied man found walking down Rainier Avenue to talk to them about what happened to him early this morning, but they were finally able to convince him to get treatment for his gunshot wound.
After receiving reports of gunfire just before 2:30 AM, officers found the man walking near Rainier Avenue S. and S. Kenyon Street.
He refused to talk to police about how he had come to have a bullet wound in his abdomen, and initially declined medical attention.
Officers eventually convinced him to seek treatment from medics, who transported the man to Harborview Medical Center.
Officers spoke to neighbors and called in a K9 unit, but weren’t able to gather any evidence or find any witnesses who had heard or seen the shooting.
