KEXP & Seattle Center Concerts at the Mural returns for its seventh year in August with four nights of live concerts, free-of-charge, featuring some of the region’s best indie music, along with some noted national artists, starting at 5:30 p.m., Fridays, Aug. 1 – 22, at Mural Amphitheatre at Seattle Center.
The Friday evening concerts continue the KEXP and Seattle Center tradition of starting off the warm summer weekends with a blast of engaging, all-ages culture. They invite neighbors, area workers and visitors alike to spread a blanket on the Mural Amphitheatre lawn and listen to an eclectic mix of bands, specially selected by KEXP 90.3 FM.
Aug. 1 – Donor Appreciation Night: Surprise Guest (announced July 28), Tacocat, Kithkin
Aug. 8 – Decibel Festival Night: Yppah, Katie Kate, IG88
Following the Aug. 8 concert, we are partnering with Decibel Festival to present a special Fountain of Light event, 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., featuring electronic video artists-created images projected onto International Fountain, with live DJs and an after concert dance party.
Aug. 15: A Place to Bury Strangers, Battleme, Wimps
Aug. 22 – Swinging Roadhouse: Lee Bains III and the Glory Fires, Star Anna, Mark Pickerel and His Praying Hands
