Serving households earning 60% of area median income, 12th Avenue Arts will feature eighty-eight affordable apartments, performing arts space, community meeting space, and local retail. Residents will enjoy bright apartments, dishwashers, laundry on every floor, off-street community patios, and secured building access.

Eight studios will rent for $817 a month, seventy-two 1-bedrooms will rent for $883 a month, and eight 2-bedrooms will rent for $1,031 a month. Tenants can earn no more than $37,000 for a single person and $53,000 for a four-person household. Full-time students are excluded. Minimum annual income varies between $24,000 and $27,000.

As reported by the Capitol Hill Seattle Blog, 12th Avenue Arts rents are significantly lower than the Hill’s market-rate apartments. Their 2-bedroom apartments will rent for just $31 more than the median price for a Capitol Hill studio listed on Craigslist back in March.
