Friday through Sunday, May 30 – June 1, there’s plenty in the way of action and performances to take in – Mariner baseball, Sounders Soccer, The Pacific Northwest Ballet, the Lionel Richie and CeeLo Green concert, and James Taylor and his All Star Band. In addition to all those events, Sunday morning 10,500 participants will take part in the one mile and 5K Susan G. Komen Puget Sound Race for the Cure.
Motorists should allow extra time for the heavier traffic associated with these events and, in particular, the Komen Race which will likely create delays in the general between the Seattle Center and Downtown Seattle. For details about these events, please see the schedule below.

Expect heavier traffic than usual during the Friday afternoon commute on I-5, SR 99 and arterials feeding into the SODO area.

Expect heavier traffic especially during the peak afternoon traffic between the I-5 Mercer off-ramps and the Seattle Center.
PNW Ballet Giselle performance: 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

Expect heavier traffic on Mercer Street and Fifth Avenue.
Saturday, May 31
Seattle Sounders vs. Real Salt Lake: 1 p.m.

Expect the usual heavier traffic in Pioneer Square and surrounding the stadium before and after the match.

5K routes: Starts on Mercer Street at Second Avenue N; heads east on Mercer to Fifth Avenue N; south on Fifth to Cedar Street; west on Cedar to Second Avenue; south on Second to Seneca Street; U-turn at Seneca and moves north on Second back to end at Thomas Street.
1 mile route: Starts on Mercer Street at Third Avenue N; then east on Mercer to Fifth Avenue N; south on Fifth to Cedar Street; west on Cedar to Second Avenue; north on Second to end at Thomas Street; Expect congestion for several hours along the route.
