Next week, paving crews from the Seattle Department of Transportation will pave part of North and Northeast 56th Street, from Latona Avenue Northeast to Kensington Place North, if weather permits.
The crews plan to grind and pave the center part of the asphalt roadway. This work is now scheduled for May 28th and 29th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. The12-foot wide concrete parking lanes will be used for traffic, so no on-street parking will be available. All sidewalks and crosswalks will remain open.
The crews plan to return to the street on May 30 to replace the speed cushions that were removed earlier this year.
