Tree Work Impacting Parking near Green Lake

West side of Meridian Ave N, N 50th to N 55th, May 6-8

Seattle Department of Transportation Urban Forestry crews this week begin pruning trees in the Green Lake neighborhood, along the west side of Meridian Avenue N between N 50th and N 55th streets. Tree crews will work May 6-8, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., one block at a time. Street parking will be restricted in the immediate work area and parking opened back up as work is completed.

The SDOT Urban Forestry crews will be moving through the Green Lake neighborhood over the next few weeks, caring for city owned trees in the right of way, though parking impacts will be less significant than along Meridian. The Urban Forestry team prunes approximately 3,000 trees across Seattle each year.
